Just a link to an entrepreneur looking for economics web site ideas. This must be a new phenomenon. In recent weeks I have had some non-trivial offers to buy economics.com.au and also an offer from a major media player to put advertisements on both of my blogs. Not enough for me to sell (although I am thinking about the notion of ad revenue) but I was curious that someone now thought the name was worth something.
Another reason why I have been a bit distracted lately… after two years of my own little blog, I am moving my blogging services elsewhere.
I have decided to accept an offer to team up with Skepticlawyer (Helen Dale) from Catallaxy, and we are setting up a joint blog, Skepticlawyer. It goes live today! I decided to check out Google Analytics to see what was what, because like every single other blogger on the planet I like it when people read my shit and wish to know more about numbers and so forth, when I noticed a sudden spike in activity.On 8 April my hit count doubled. This isn't a blowing horn exercise since doubling of fuck all is still mostly fuck all. This became more a 'why would that be?' exercise. Read more »
