A clear choice

April 13, 2019 - 10:30 -- Admin

When Prime
Minister Scott Morrison announced the date of the election (May 18), he said
that there was a clear choice, and so there is. It is a choice between a
government which is incapable of even having a working policy on climate change
or energy and an opposition that does. No doubt many people would point to the
Emission Reduction Fund (ERF) and Morrison’s rebadged version, the Climate
Solutions Fund (CSF)1  and say

Has ‘Thou shalt not bear false witness’ been dumped?

April 12, 2019 - 09:36 -- Admin

Murdoch ‘ruperter’ Greg
Sheridan has long been out of touch with reality. He recently published a book
entitled ‘God is good for you: A defence of Christianity in troubled times’. It
almost goes without saying that the only god that Sheridan thinks is good for
you is the one in which he believes. All those other people who believe in one
or more of the myriad of other gods are clearly mistaken. The world he inhabits

The profound stupidity of Michaelia Cash

April 10, 2019 - 09:08 -- Admin

Just when you thought the government’s mind-blowingly
ridiculous reaction to the Labor Party’s electric vehicle plan1,2  couldn’t get any worse, Senator Michaelia Cash
has momentarily stepped out from behind her whiteboard to add to the idiocy. She
was reported as saying: “50 per cent of
these apprentices will be driving an electric vehicle under Bill Shorten … we
are going to stand by our tradies and we are going to save their utes”3.

More electric madness

April 9, 2019 - 08:39 -- Admin

The galloping
stupidity of the Liberal Party has been highlighted by the ludicrous response
to the Labor Party’s plan to encourage the uptake of electric vehicles. Let’s
go back to the start, some time before the Labor Party suggested it had such a
plan. In January, 2018, Josh Frydenberg listed a few technological advances
which have appeared in the last few years and stated that “there is another

You pay for Coalition advertising

April 8, 2019 - 08:28 -- Admin

Unfortunately, money is crucial to success
in elections and this coming election is no different. The money raised by
political parties is used to buy advertising, send out flyers, print posters, produce
expensive television advertisements, undertake professional social media
campaigns, and to run focus groups and opinion polls1. So, a
political party that cannot attract sufficient funds is hamstrung in the lead

The shallow end of the Kenny gene pool

April 7, 2019 - 08:30 -- Admin

You have to feel sorry
for the Kenny family, having to put up with the idiocy of Chris. He is a
Murdoch hack in the worst sense of the word, and that is saying plenty. His
lies are almost continuous, and he will do anything to try to prop up the
Coalition parties, especially the far right of that party, and lies are mostly
what the Liberal far right have left.
