This is Barak Obama's "A More Perfect Union" speech delivered at the Constitution Center Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in March 18, 2008. The text is here. It was a major speech.


There is more hear than soaring rhetoric, his talk of a new politics and declarations about change and transformation. Obama focused on an uncomfortable topic that most Americans would rather leave unspoken. He turned the topic over and examined it from several different angles and made it personal, and sparked a conversation about race relations.
