By-elections are traditionally unfriendly terrain for governments. They are something like a political Twenty-Twenty match, exaggerating the effect of local issues and suppressing the overall standing of the party leaders. With the government out of election mode, there are few policy handouts to focus self-interest. Dems to contest Mayo By-election

The Democrats voted at their last SA State Council meeting to contest the impending Mayo by-election.  Nominations are currently opened.

Whilst Sir Alex is too busy lunching with journos and playing golf with Mark Vaile, the Democrats have already hit the ground running and will be campaigning at the Mt Barker show. Read more »
